John Pollock is our head Ornithologist, & Ecologist with expertise in biodiversity conservation and environmental impact assessment. With a BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences from Heriot-Watt University and an MSc in Wildlife Biology and Conservation from Edinburgh Napier University, John combines a solid academic background with hands-on experience in ecological research and analysis.

At Canavan Associates Ltd, John contributes to Ornithological and Ornithological studies, and reports and Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs), as well as supporting ornithological studies for wind farm projects. His skills include ecological surveys, habitat condition assessments, and analyzing ornithological data for bird population studies. A member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), John is dedicated to delivering sustainable solutions that balance ecological integrity with project goals.
